天売島を代表する海鳥といえばオロロン鳥ことウミガラス。早朝のケイマフリ号でのクルーズでは日によって100羽くらいのウミガラスを観察できる日もありますよ。先日もクルーズに参加されたお客様が”こんなに沢山のウミガラスが見られるとは想像してなかった”と感動されていました。

Common murre locally known as “Ororoncho”is the iconic seabird of Teuri Island. On the early morning boat cruises, it’s sometimes possible to see as many as 100 murres in a single day! Recently, a guest on the cruise was deeply moved, saying, “I never imagined I’d see so many of them!” It’s truly a sight to behold.
