焼尻島に咲く花

エゾカンゾウ
（エゾゼンテイカ・ニッコウキスゲ・エゾキスゲ）

白浜キャンプ場の近くで、エゾカンゾウの花が咲きはじめました。
いよいよ、島にも夏の気配が近づいてきます。

6月になると、島のあちらこちらで鮮やかな花を咲かせ、
訪れる人たちの目を楽しませてくれます。

朝、小鳥たちのさえずりで目を覚まし、
風に揺れる花を眺めながら過ごす時間――
それが、島でいちばんおすすめしたい夏のひとときです。

**Flowers of Yagishiri Island

Ezo Kanzō**
(Hemerocallis dumortieri
also known as Ezō-zenteika, Nikko-kisuge, or Ezo-kisuge)

The Ezo kanzō flowers have begun to bloom near Shirahama Campground.
At last, the feeling of summer is drawing close to the island.

By June, these bright flowers will bloom all across Yagishiri,
bringing color and delight to visiting travelers.

Waking in the morning to the songs of birds,
then quietly watching the flowers sway in the sea breeze—
it is one of the island’s greatest pleasures of summer.
